Maine Maritime sailing finished in fifth place out of nine teams in the Callagy Ross Trophy hosted by the University of Vermont this weekend.
How it Happened: Henri Richardsson (Cohasset, Mass.) and William Ries (Sarasota, Fla.) raced in the A Division, while Nalu Ho (Lahaina, Hawaii) and Margaret Archibald (Saco, Maine) raced in the B Division for the Mariners. The two crews learned to set up and sail FJs in choppy conditions and variable wind. Both pairs led the fleet at various points, working on making their performance more consistent. The Mariners finished fifth overall and second in B Division. Huge thanks to the University of Vermont for hosting a great regatta!
Up Next: Maine Maritime returns to action at the Smith Trophy hosted by MIT and the Lark Invite hosted by Tufts University next weekend.
