Maine Maritime men's soccer was ranked fourth in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) East Division preseason coaches' poll, which was announced yesterday afternoon.
Under the direction of Head Coach, Billy Shannon, the Mariners went 6-9-1 overall last season and 5-3-1 in NAC play, finishing fourth in the NAC East Division and losing to Husson University in the Quarterfinals.
This season, the squad has a committed and driven mindset led by veteran returners, Pieter Oudejans (Rockledge, Fla.), Will San Pedro (Topsham, Maine), Reuben Harrison (Heidelberg, Germany) and Trevor Gray (Gorham, Maine), along with 2021 Honorable Mention All-NAC players JD Vandemergel (Brighton, Mich.) and Xander Fortuna-Ramos (West Covina. Calif.).
The Mariners kick off their 2022 season on Thursday, September 1 at 7:30 pm against the University of New England at home.
