Maine Maritime’s Carson Trout (League City, Texas) has been named the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Men’s Swimming & Diving Swimmer of the Week, while Jay Creegan (East Brunswick, N.J.) was named the NAC Men’s Swimming & Diving Rookie of the Week.
 
Trout had a big day in the pool on Saturday in a 149-24 win over St. Joseph’s College (ME). Trout set a new team and pool record in the 50-yard freestyle, coming in first with a time of 22.17 and reset the pool record in the 100-yard freestyle with a first place finish time of 49.60. He was also part of a winning relay in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:43.99.
 
Creegan helped the Mariners to a 149-24 victory over St. Joseph’s College (ME) by resetting the pool record in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a first place time of 10:48.01 and by winning the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:03.32.
