Acadia National Park Night skies over Saint Croix Island International Historic Site Event Cancelled

This Sat Oct 1, come see the night skies over Saint Croix Island International Historic Site in Calais, ME.

DownEast Amateur Astronomers and NPS staff will host activities open to all ages starting at 6:30 pm with a “Night Explorers” Junior Ranger program, followed by star, planet, and moon viewing through telescopes as soon as it’s dark enough.

Europa and its shadow will transit (eclipse) close to the red spot on Jupiter starting at about 6:45 pm and crossing until about 9 pm.

The event also coincides with NASA’s International Observe the Moon Night.
